Mary Lou Antrup, age 87 of Mishawaka, passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Center for Hospice in South Bend, Indiana. Mary Lou was born November 21, 1929 in Fremont, Indiana to the late Mearl E. and Georgianna (Morgan) Schaeffer. Mary Lou was the Salutatorian of her High School class and following graduation from Freemont High School, Mary Lou married Ellsworth "Lefty" Antrup on November 8, 1947. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2013. Surviving Mary Lou is her son, Lee A. (Joyce) Antrup of Nowata, OK; granddaughter, Tina (Judd) Brott, Nowata, OK; 2 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters-in-law, Alda Antrup and Thelma Antrup. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ellsworth; and a brother Russell Schaeffer.
Visitation will be held from 2-3 PM with the funeral service beginning at 3 PM on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at Twin Branch Bible Church, 3807 Vistula Road Mishawaka, IN 46544. Rev. Daniel Boes will preside over the funeral service and interment will be held at 10 am Monday, May 8, 2017 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola. Mary Lou was a longtime member of Twin Branch Bible Church, where she was an avid supporter of Missions. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, and was a collector of over 1,000 cat figurines, pictures, and knick knacks.
