Mattie "Louise" (Jerrolds) Scott, 90 of South Bend, IN departed this life February 17, 2021 in Wakarusa, Indiana. She was born on September 6, 1930 to the late Robert Lee and Gertrude (Cole) Jerrolds in Hardin County, TN. Her parents passed away when she was very young, and she was raised by her foster parents. She married her husband of 73 years Charles E. Scott on August 23, 1947 in Corinth, MS. She was a member of the South Side General Baptist Church in Mishawaka, IN for almost 63 years where she also taught Sunday school for almost 20 years. She was a member of the Ladies Missionary and served as Vice President. Louise loved the color yellow.
She is survived by her husband Charles E Scott; Sons, Lynn (Linda),Wayne (Karen); one daughter Dorothy Scott; her grandchildren; Brian (Lisa) Scott, Lisa (Todd) Scott-Carter, Michael (Marie) Scott, Pam (Andy) King, Melissa (Dale) Shupert. A host of great-grandchildren; Matthew and Kaitlyn Carter, Jacob Henderson, Andrew (Amber), Alex and Annabelle King, Cassie (Isaiah) Ritter, Tyler, Lucas, and Elizabeth Shupert, Hanna, Natalie, Ethan, Kaela, Sarah and Alleigh Scott. Her first great great grandson is due in May 2021, she may not be here to hold him, but she will enjoy watching over him from heaven. Louise was the last to pass away of her 10 siblings.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter Doris Rajski, three brothers; Charles, James, and Oliver Jerrolds, two sisters; Geneva Banks and Libby Jerrolds.
Services for Louise will be held on Monday, February 22, 2021 at 1:30PM at South Side General Baptist Church 1615 S. Spring St. Mishawaka, IN 46544. Friends may visit on Sunday February 21, 2021 from 3PM-5PM at the church. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memory Gardens in Osceola, IN, with Brother Jeff Little to preside. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Louises' memory to the South Side General Baptist Church. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is honored to care for the Scott Family.
