Mavis R. Ford, 87, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at Miller''s Merry Manor in Wakarusa. She was born January 24, 1929 to Arthur and Roxie (Taylor) Dunn in Buncombe, Illinois. Mavis graduated from Vienna High School in 1947. She married Kenneth Ford on February 23, 1947 in Vienna, Illinois. He preceded her in death. Surviving is her daughter, Helen Blackwood, of Elkhart; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Glenna Stucker, and Gladys Linenfelser. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth, two brothers and a sister. Mavis was employed by Industrial Plastics-Aeroquip and retired after 20 years of service and later worked for many years as a salesperson for Furnitureland. Friends and family may gather Friday, April 1, 2016 from 1-2 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561 with a funeral service starting immediately after at 2:00 pm with Pastor David Stauffer officiating.
