SOUTH BEND -Maxine L. Blye, 87, passed away late Wednesday evening, December 6, 2017 in South Bend, Indiana. Maxine was born in Kokomo, IN on April 25, 1930 to the late Hubert and Lorene (Stricler) Chenoweth.
Maxine was a huge Notre Dame fan. She enjoyed watching her home team play anytime she could. She also loved to play euchre and liked passing the time with a challenging puzzle. Maxine was known to have a big heart for strays and loved all of her four-legged-fur-babies. She was a hard worker, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who adored her family.
Maxine is survived by her sons, Ronald (Terri) Blye of South Bend, Mike (Jacqueline) Blye also of South Bend, and Richard Blye of Ocala, FL; sister-in-law, Sharon Chenoweth, eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Ms. Blye was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Blye, and her brothers, Richard, John, and Don Chenoweth.
Funeral service for Maxine will be held 2:00 pm with family to receive friends two hours prior to service on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home located at 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola.
