Maxine Rose Stocks, 92, of Ft. Wayne, passed away Sunday, September 14, 2014. Maxine was born on February 15, 1922, the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Spangle) Welklin. She is survived by four children, Karen Sue (Mike) Kiessling of Ft. Wayne, Jacquelyn Kay Stocks of Ft. Wayne, Gary Lee (Jennie) Stocks of Berrien Springs, MI, and Jere Dee Stocks of Sandy Spring, MD; eight grandchildren, Brandon (Stacy) Stocks of Minnesota, Tammy (Phil) Morey of Ft. Wayne, Lisa (Chris) Meeks of Ft. Wayne, Madelyn Stacey (Marc) Price of South Bend, Stephanie (Anthony) Brown of South Bend, Logan Stocks of Florida, Chandler Stocks of Florida and Gracyn Stocks of Florida; and nine great grandchildren, Madison, Parker, Arden, Avery, Libee, Jennavecia, Addison, Cate, and Ben. She is also survived by three siblings, Howard (Peggy) Welklin of National City, CA, Philip (Claire) Welklin of Medford, OR and Roger (Mary) Welklin of Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack Drury Stocks A private family service was held with burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Ft. Wayne. Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola is handling arrangements.
