Megan Jane Murray Serafine, 46, of Elkhart, died Saturday, January 14, 2017 at home in Elkhart. The Elkhart native was born July 5, 1970 to Richard Lee and Yolanda (Austin) Murray, who have both preceded her in death. On January 8, 2010, Megan married Andrew Thomas Serafine, who survives. Megan attended the Mountain Top Ministries church where she sang in church and enjoyed teaching Sunday School. Megan worked at Arni''s Restaurant in Indianapolis and for Thor and Keystone RV manufacturers in Elkhart. She will be remembered as a person who loved children and cherished her family. Megan enjoyed crafts, and is known for her cooking and baking. Megan is survived by her children, Eric Murray of Indianapolis, Skylar Adams of Elkhart, Alexis Stutzman of Goshen, Sophia Serafine of Elkhart; and her siblings, Rick (Cathy) Murray of Elkhart, David Murray of Michigan, Kim (Dennis) Gunden of Elkhart, and Aimee (David) Reed of Elkhart; numerous nieces and nephews; Aunt Gean and Uncle Bill Schirf and family; and close friends Robin Camp and Donna Culbertson. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a nephew, Devon VanHorn. Family and friends will be received on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 4-5 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561 with a funeral service in Megan''s honor at 5 PM on Friday, January 20, 2017. Pastor Gary Sheets will preside over the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Megan''s family in care of the funeral home.
