Melissa Lynn Edwards, 41, of South Bend & Mishawaka, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2024. Known for her boundless generosity, infectious laughter, and warm spirit, Melissa was a beloved daughter, wife, and friend who brightened the lives of everyone she encountered.

Melissa was a dedicated and caring individual who always put others before herself. She was a devoted daughter to her parents, offering love, support, and joy in every moment. As a loving wife, Melissa's bond with her spouse was a testament to her deep sense of loyalty and affection, creating a partnership that was both a source of strength and happiness.

In addition to her role as a cherished family member, Melissa was a passionate volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House, where she spent countless hours giving her time and heart to families in need. Her work there was a reflection of her selflessness and commitment to making the world a better place. Whether it was through her volunteer efforts, her thoughtful kindness, or her always-positive attitude, Melissa touched the lives of everyone she met.

Melissa was full of life and happiness, with an ability to bring warmth and laughter into any room. Her zest for life, combined with her caring nature, made her a beacon of light to her family, friends, and community. She will be remembered not only for the love she gave but also for the joy she brought to all who knew her.

Melissa's radiant spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and her legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to inspire us all.

Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents Jerry Eskridge, Carol Eskridge, Annie Sheaks, Huey Groning and Sue Groning .

She is survived by her loving husband, Alex Edwards, her parents, Ron Groning & Jean Groning, her brothers, Brian & Bobby Groning, her niece, Lillian Groning and many cherished family members and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 25, 2024, from 2pm to 6pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN, where friends and family will gather to honor her spirit and the lasting impact she had on their lives. A funeral service will take place Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 1pm with a small gathering for 1 hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Melissa's memory to the Salvation Army Kroc Center or the Ronald McDonald House .
