Merle Mae Humfleet, 71, of Elkhart, passed away at 8:13 pm, Friday, September 17, 2010 in Elkhart General Hospital. Merle was born on June 19, 1939 to Russell and Bertha (Adams) Allen. On August 20, 1956, she married Robert Humfleet and they were very rarely seen apart from one another. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who were fond of her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert of Elkhart; three children, Brenda (George) Bosworth of Lisbon, OH, Bobby Humfleet of Elkhart, and Bernice (Michael) Saberniak of Elkhart; 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Ronnie (Rose Ann) Allen of Elkhart.
Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in the funeral home with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola
