Michelle Ann Lashbrooke, age 51, of Elkhart, IN passed away on November 19, 2019.

She was born on March 29, 1968 in Austin, Texas to Elvin and Margaret (Jones) Lashbrooke.  She was a Brownie, Girl Scout, and waterfront swimming instructor.  She graduated from Penn High School and Bethel College.  She loved music and was part of the String Project at The University of Texas at Austin where she played the cello.  At Penn High School she was a member of several bands and played the French horn and saxophone.  Michelle truly loved her dogs. She was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with family.  Shelli was a rabid Dallas Cowboy fan.

Michelle is survived by her son, Nathaniel Schmidt of Goshen, IN; parents; brother, David (Lisa) Lashbrooke of Granger, IN; nephew, David Lashbrooke Jr.; niece, Taylor Lashbrooke.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Elvin and Lois Lashbrooke of San Antonio, Texas and Ansel and Jean Jones of Stamford, Connecticut.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2019 7:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561.
