Mildred Irene King, age 86, of Jones, MI passed away on April 23, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 11, 1930 to Clyde and Frances Lucille (Donnelly) Weese in Jackson, MI. On March 2, 1952, Mildred married Donald King. She enjoyed watching television, especially Joyce Meyer Ministries. She loved watching birds and animals in general, shopping, collecting family pictures, and spending time with her family. She loved her dog, Peanut and her cat, Mitzie. Mildred will be remembered for her selflessness and kind spirit towards everyone she met.
Mildred is survived by her children, Donald (Ruth) King of Brooklyn, MI, Donna (David) Newburry of Cassopolis, MI, Dianna (Wayne) Konkle of White Pigeon, MI, David (Claudia) King of Martinsburg, WV, and Debbie (Carl) Schnaible of Mishawaka, IN; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Alice Gay of Cass County, MI, Robert Weese of Jackson, MI, and James Hampton of Battle Creek, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; son, Dale King; grandson, Donny King; four brothers and a sister. Friends and family may call on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 4-8 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016at 11 AM at the funeral home with Pastor John Utley of the Radiant Life Church officiating. There will be a time of visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens following the service.
