Mildred "Millie" Lucille (Keller) Layton, notorious for having a good time, Millie, 79, arrived at her final stop on Saturday, September 18, 2021.  Millie was born on April 20, 1942 in South Bend, IN to the late Joseph and Lucille (Edwards) Keller.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph Keller, Ed Keller, Frank Keller and Johnny Keller.  Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, George Keller and Carl (Christine) Keller; her sisters, Anna Morrow, Mary (Donny) Gaertner, Shirley (Bill) Ringle, Cathy (Walt) Nyczak, Florence Disbrow and Sandy (Bill) Smith; sister in law, Marilyn Keller; a town full of nieces and nephews; her daughter, Jacklyn (George) Doi; her beautiful (smokin' hot) granddaughters, Stacie and Tracie Doi; a great granddaughter, Luna, who was very precious to her.  Millie was the start of four generations of tough, independent, hardworking women and we are so proud to call her ours.  We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Casey and the staff at Heart to Heart Hospice for their guidance, especially Nurse Margaret who took tremendous care of my grandma and was very dear to us all.  We would also not have survived this past year and a half without the help of our Aunt Anna and we will never be able to properly thank her for giving us so much of her time.  In accordance to Millie's wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no service, but well-wishers are encouraged to remind themselves that it's always 4:20 somewhere.  A celebration of life may be planned for spring 2022.  Online condolences may be placed on https://www.chapelhillmemorial.com/
