Niles, MI – Mykenzie Michelle Procopi, 18, passed away unexpectedly on August 17, 2026. Although her life was far too short, the love, laughter, and memories she shared with her family and friends will remain in their hearts forever.

Mykenzie was born on December 4, 2007, in South Bend, Indiana, to Robert Procopi and Amber Aitken. She was also preceded in death by Uncle Pete Procopi. She was a proud graduate of Niles High School, Class of 2026.

Mykenzie was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and cherished friend. She will be deeply missed by her parents, Robert J. Procopi and Amber L. Aitken; her brothers and sisters, Jayce Procopi, Kaiden Vermillion, Victoria Procopi, Kamden Wise, Zoey Procopi, Donnie Shaffer, Rowan Procopi, Katelyn Wogomon, Blaine Cutlip, Kylee Wise, and Saveah Bryant; her maternal grandparents, Betty Melton, Randy Aitken, and Marie Williams; her paternal grandmother, Vicki Samansky, Gus Procopi; stepfathers, Travis Wogomon, Trent Wise, David Vermillion; stepmother, Emily Procopi, Samantha Bryant, aunts, Eleni Procopi, Angie Harmer; uncles, Jamie Harmer and George Procopi, Anthony Procopi, Elias Sanchez, and numerous extended family members, friends, and associates.

Mykenzie attended Elkhart Baptist Church and worked at Walmart as an online shopper. She had a special love for animals of all kinds, with reptiles holding a particularly special place in her heart. She also enjoyed anime and gaming and loved spending her free time surrounded by the things that brought her happiness. Those who knew Mykenzie will remember her as a young woman who brought her own unique light and personality into the lives of those around her.

Mykenzie was taken from her loved ones far too soon, but she leaves behind countless memories that will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m., all at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Indiana. She will be laid to rest at a private ceremony at a later date at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Indiana.
