Myra Jo Moran
January 2, 1957 – August 6, 2025

Myra Jo (Gosser) Moran, 68, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on August 6, 2025.

Born on January 2, 1957, in Williamsport, Indiana, Myra was the daughter of Boyd and Barbara (Long) Gosser. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joyce Ann, her father Boyd Gosser, her beloved uncles Jim, Herbie, Ron "Squeak" Long and her aunt Brenda Eastburn, and the love of her life Marty Moran.

She graduated from Seeger Memorial High School with the Class of 1975 and went on to attend Danville Area Community College. She was a secretary at Danville Industries, a substitute teacher and a library aid for Elkhart Community Schools systems, and worked alongside her husband at Moran Engineering LLC.

On June 20, 1981, she married the love of her life, Martin "Marty" Moran. Together, they built a life centered around family, faith, and love.

Myra's greatest joys in life were being a devoted mother and grandmother. She cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She centered her life around her children; she was a PTA member, room mom, team mom, and eventually homeschooled 4 of her children. She was at every concert, baseball/softball, soccer and basketball game.

She enjoyed simple pleasures— reading, playing euchre, Bunko, cooking, and finding new restaurants, and hosting pool parties and bon fires for all her children and their friends.

She is lovingly survived by her children: Jenny (Jay her "favorite" son-in-law) Campbell, Jason (Melissa) Moran, Emily Moran, Robert Moran, and Kevin (Jaimie) Moran; her beloved grandchildren: Madison, Morgan, Riley, and Haley and a unborn grandson; her sisters: Cindy (Joe) Williams and Christy (Curt) Gosser-Stiner; her sister-in-law: Patricia (Pat) Collins; her cherished nieces and nephews: Jobie, Abby (brown eyes with thunder thighs), Whitney (aka Courtney Jo), and Chase along with multiple great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, IN. A memorial service will follow at 5:00 PM, officiated by Reverend Gary Sheets.

The family kindly requests that attendees wear red in honor of Myra and to bring her one more red carnation.
