DOWAGIAC – Nancy C. Bice, 80, of Dowagiac, Michigan passed away in the early morning of Friday, April 13, 2018 at The Timbers of Cass County. Nancy was born November 20, 1937 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Carroll and Dorothy Barber. On February 25, 1955, Nancy wed Mr. Elza G. Bice. Together, they celebrated 41 years of marriage before his passing on July 8, 1996. Nancy loved the outdoors and was an avid camper, trail rider, and gardener. For many years she owned Peruvian horses and enjoyed taking care of them. She was also known for her crocheted creations, canned goods directly from her garden, and the annual Christmas gatherings in her home. Nancy is survived by her son, Randy (Lesley) Bice; daughter, Diana LaPorte; brother, Fred Barber, five grandchildren and six great- grandchildren. In addition to her parents and loving husband, Nancy was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Lynnette Roxanne Bice. In accordance with her wishes, a private family ceremony will commence at a later date. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is entrusted with Ms. Bice's arrangements.
