Nancy Miller, age 71, of Mishawaka, passed away in her residence on Saturday, March 27, 2010. Nancy was born December 24, 1938 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late William A. and Altha C. (Smith) Conner. On February 4, 1955, she was united in marriage to Mr. Glen Miller Sr. in Mishawaka.
Glen survives, along with their children, Glen (Roxanne) Miller Jr. of Mishawaka, Keith (Stacy) Miller of Osceola, and Carol (Darren) Najdek of South Bend. Also surviving are six grandchildren; Rachel Najdek, Tim (Kimbirlee) Miller, Chad Miller Jenny (Todd) Garrard, Jeff (Christina) Miller, and Sam Soliman, along with a great grandchild, Candace Garrard. Surviving as well are two sisters, Pat (Forrest "Dink") Henderson of Mishawaka, and Judy (Lance) Maxwell of New Mexico. Nancy was preceded in death by her sisters June DeRuver, and Ruth Hajhaj. Nancy was also very close to two special people in her life, Ann and Richard Rich M.D. They survive as well.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, as well as one hour prior to the 11:00 am funeral service at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Nancy attended Mishawaka High School, and was active in their Alumni activities. She was employed for many years at Martin''s Supermarkets Deli, Kroger Deli, Check Rite, and the cafeterias at Madison and Meadow''s Edge schools in the Penn Harris Madison School Corporation. In her spare time, Nancy enjoyed playing BINGO and slots at the Casino. In her youth, she participated in bowling leagues also. One of her favorite pastimes was spending time with her family, eating out at restaurants.
