Nancy J. (Doty) Campbell, age 74, of Mishawaka, passed away Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center. Nancy was born June 30, 1936 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late George W. and Frieda (Petersen) Doty. Nancy married Robert D. Campbell in 1953. Robert preceded her in death, passing away in 2003.
Survivors include her grandson, Sean Tollefson of Adolphus, KY, and three great grandchildren, and her brothers and sisters; Maxine Payne of La Porte, William Doty Sr. of Mishawaka, Edward Doty and Jane Judd of Granger, Charles Doty and Dixie Anderson of Mishawaka. She was preceded in death by her son, Randy L. Campbell in 2009.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 3:00 pm funeral service on Saturday, December 4, 2010 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Nancy was employed for several years at NylonCraft in Mishawaka, and she and her husband Robert owned "the Watering Hole" Tavern in Elkhart for many years. She was an excellent cook, and was kind and generous to others. She and Robert enjoyed traveling together, and Nancy was especially fond of her dog, Rico. In her memory, donations may be made to the Pet Refuge.
