Nancy G. Veron, age 80, of Elkhart passed away at 6:00 pm February 4, 2015 at Kindred Health Care, Valley View. Nancy was born November 6, 1934 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Thomas E. and Glenn I. (Waggoner) Deem. The 1951 graduate of New Albany High School married Irvin Lee Veron on Sept. 12, 1952. Irvin preceded her in death, passing away July 5, 1994.
Surviving are her children Terry Lee Veron, David Lee (Debra) Veron, Thomas Lee Veron and Donna Lee (Roland) Soto, all of Elkhart. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and her brother, Thomas E. (Marianne) Deem Jr. of Arkansas.
Visitation will be held from 2-6 pm Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday, February 9, 2015 at Chapel Hill with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Nancy was employed as a computer operator at the Bendix Corporation from 1970-1985. She enjoyed being around people, and after her retirement, she worked part time for several years at Associated Federal Credit Union in Elkhart. She was family oriented, and loved to cook and spend time with them at family meals. Nancy enjoyed reading, collecting miniature spoons and teacups, and travelling. She was a loving and caring friend to all, and accepted everyone for who they were.
