Norman C. Rupright, age 67, of Elkhart passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Elkhart Center for Hospice, Elkhart, IN. The South Bend, IN native was born February 27, 1950 to Melvin W. and Sarah (Bunton) Rupright. Norman served his county honorably in the United States Army Airborne. On June 4, 1988, he married Judith Hartman. Norman was a truck driver and worked as a custom home builder until his retirement in 2009. He was a member of the VFW and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. Cook outs in the summer with the family was a favorite pastime for Norman. Norman is survived by his wife 29 years, Judy; his children, James Rupright, Steve Mullins, and Tara Mullins; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; his sister, Carolyn (Roy) Brown of Decker, TN; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Kerry Rupright; brother, Melvin Rupright; and his cherished four legged companion, "Lucky". Family and friends will be received from 3-8 PM on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561. A funeral service in Norman''s honor will be on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at 12 PM Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Larry Sonnenberg officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
