Orlue Janet Barnes, 84, of Elkhart, entered into eternal rest on June 7, 2022. She was born on October 14, 1937 to the late William and Pauline Shelly in Elkhart, IN. Orlue enjoyed knitting and spending time with family. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she loved being surrounded by each one of them.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Barnes; and sister, Trudy Filbert.

Orlue is survived by her children, Curt (Raquel) Barnes, David Barnes, Todd Barnes, and Shelly (Kevin) Smith; and sister, Linda (John) Yeater.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM with the Funeral Service to begin at 1:00 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home,10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN 46561. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
