South Bend, IN- Pasqua Sims passed away peacefully on December 16, 2018 at Wellbrooke of South Bend. She was born October 10, 1929 in Cerignola, Italy to the late Vito and Maria (Calvi) DiPinto. On September 29, 1945 Pasqua married Leo A. Sims in Cerignola, Italy. This happy union was blessed with eight children. A year following her marriage they moved their family to South Bend, Indiana. She enjoyed music, birds especially cardinals, sewing, and gardening. Pasqua was known for her hospitality and wonderful Italian dinners. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana. Pasqua was proud of her heritage and being the granddaughter of Count Calvi. She lived her life to the fullest as a wife, mother and grandmother.

Pasqua is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann (Gregory A. Sr.) Montgomery of North Liberty, IN,  Johanna Rhymer of Salem, IL , Rosemary (Jerry) Hoffman of South Bend, IN,  and Teresa (Mark Sr.) Ferency of South Bend, IN; sons, Leo D. (Angie) Sims of Florida,  David V. (Jill-Ann) Sims of Midway, PA  and John J. (Mary ) of Granger, IN; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Joel) Turak, Brandon (Holly) Sims, Justin (Kelli) Sims, Angelica, Rachel A. (David) Meckley, Sylvia (Kenny) Linkish, Frances (Nate) Tauzer, John D. (Sofia) Montgomery, Gregory (Jennifer) Montgomery Jr., Yvette (Rick) Nace, Aaron (Sara) Rhymer, Nicola Hoffman, Marshall Hoffman, Marky Ferency Jr., Heather Ferency, and Breanna Ferency; great-grandchildren, Anna Rose, Jordyn (Mason), Isaac, Brayden, Chase, Landon, Emmery, Corey, Noah, Lydia, Daniel, Ezra, Ethan, Jillian, Sophia, Gregory Allen III, Christian, and Adrian; great-great grandson, Weston; brother-in-law, Bianca DiPinto of North Carolina; nieces; nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Anthony Sims; 2 sisters; 3 brothers and son-in-law Michael Rhymer;

A gathering for family and friends will be on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy., Osceola, IN. Funeral will be held Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Chapel Hill Funeral home with  Entombment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
