Patricia A. Barden, 85, formerly of Elkhart, died Monday, May 25, 2015 in Topeka, KS. The Logansport native was born December 27, 1929 to Edwin and Frances (Fitzer) Pherson, who have both preceded her in death. On March 17, 1951 Patricia married Wayne Barden in South Bend. She was a retired Radiology Technician at Elkhart Clinic; she also volunteered at the Elkhart General Hospital in Radiology and Mammography. Patricia was a member of Tri Kappa Sorority and she loved spending summer weekends sailing on Lake Michigan with family & friends as well as some wonderful sailing adventures in the Caribbean. In addition to her parents, Patricia was also preceded in death by her son, Brad Barden and her brothers, Richard & Eddie Pherson. She is survived by Wayne, her husband of 64 years; their daughter, Samantha (Brian) Duffens and grandchildren, Gabrielle & Connor Duffens, all of Topeka KS. The family will receive friends from 4-6 pm Friday June 12, 2015 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Private interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
