Patricia Louise Strampel, 75, of Elkhart, died Monday, November 14, 2016 at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN. The Elkhart native was born June 10, 1941 to Elmer Cleveland and Doris Edith (Baldwin) Cole, who have both preceded her in death. On December 19, 1968, Patricia married Thomas Robert Strampel, who preceded her in death. Patricia was a 1959 graduate of Niles High School and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Elkhart. She will be remembered as a person who enjoyed helping others at any opportunity. Patricia loved pets, especially German Shepherds, playing the dulcimer, and working on wood and art projects. Patricia is survived by her son, Scott Troy Strampel of Elkhart; and a sister, Elizabeth Ann Hill of Mishawaka. In honor of Patricia''s wishes, no services are planned at this time. The family''s preferred memorial is to Elkhart County Humane Society, 54687 County Road 19, Bristol, IN 46507.
