Obituary

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Patricia Anne Pozwilka, 82, of Elkhart, was called home to our Lord Jesus to be reunited with our recently departed father at 8:50 am, Sunday, August 7, 2011 in Memorial Hospital of South Bend. While we mourn our loss, we are comforted by the knowledge that they are together again. Patricia was born on September 13, 1928. On May 26, 1946, she married Emil Pozwilka, Jr.
She is survived by three daughters, Marla Manhart of Sarasota, FL, Christine (Bill) Milliken of Edwardsburg, and Ann (Russ) Manly of Elkhart, 11 grandchildren, Paxton Manly, Lynn Ryan (Jessica) Williams, Tyler (Elizabeth) Manly, John Ryan (Jennifer) Manly, Aric (Mary Jo) Manly, Jennifer (Jeff) Strycker, Jeff (Jennifer) Milliken, Angela (Steven) Theriac, Michael (Lori) Heim, Lisa Heim and David Heim, and 11 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother, David Collins of Granger. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Emil, Jr., who passed away on June 22, 2011 and a brother, Robert Welsh.
Patricia was a member of the Adamsville Road Church of God. While working at Battell Elementary School, she started the first Quest Center Library. She also worked as an administrator in St. Joseph Hospital, Mishawaka and Parkview Hospital, Plymouth. She was active with the Campfire girls and was PTA president for both Battell Elementary and Main Street Junior High, Mishawaka. In her spare time she loved to golf, crafting, and reading. She authored several children''s stories published in Children''s Playmate and Jack & Jill Magazine.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, August 14, 2011 in Adamsville Road Church of God, 51287 County Road 7, Elkhart, with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Rev. Rob Meckley will officiate. Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola is handling services.
In lieu of flowers, the family preferred memorial is to the Adamsville Road Church of God.
