Patricia L. Smith, 72, of Goshen, passed away at 1:57 am, Thursday, April 28, 2011 in Elkhart General Hospital. Patricia was born on August 21, 1938 in Plymouth, the daughter of the late Ora B. and Clara Mae (Lewellen) Gibson. On June 29, 1958, she married J. Kevin Smith. He passed away on November 25, 2001. She is also preceded in death by one brother, Harold Gibson.
Patricia is survived by three children, James A. "Andy" Smith, Sr. of Bristol, IN, Kerry S. (Julie) Smith of Osceola, IN and Amy Smith Clark of Indianapolis, IN; three grandchildren, James Andrew Smith, Jr., John Thomas Smith, and Philip Kevin Smith and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Gary (Marilyn) Gibson of Hagerstown, MD.
She was a 1957 graduate of Manchester Central High School. She retired from Key Bank as a Trust Clerk and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Other memberships include the Sunshine Group at The Willows and a past member of the Jubilee Bell Ringers of Elkhart County.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Monday, May 2, 2011 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, May 3, 2011 in the funeral home with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Oscoela.
