Paul V. Butsch, 97, of Tomball, TX, formerly of South Bend, died at 3:23 pm, Tuesday, June 11, 2013 in his residence. Paul was born on April 20, 1916, the son of the late Frank and Amelia (Gaul) Butsch. On June 17, 1944, in Mishawaka, he married Jane M. Hodges. She died on July 24, 2005. He is also preceded in death by three brothers, Fredrick, Lawrence, and Raymond.
Paul is survived by two son, Paul "Vic" (Gail) Butsch, Jr of Norwich, CT, Robert (Phyllis) Butsch of Tomball, TX and two daughters, Bonnie (Hank) Herreman of Granger, and Debra Pinkston of Houston, TX; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Esther Crafton of Indianapolis.
Paul worked for the former Uniroyal for 37 ½ years before his retirement, where he worked in research and development. He loved to golf and was part of a Thursday night bowling league. He also coached Little League for many years, but most important to him was his family.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am, Monday, June 17, 2013 in Sunnyside Presbyterian Church, 115 S. Frances St., South Bend, where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Chapel Hill Funeral Home in handling arrangements.
