Obituary

Paula Lorraine Kline, 82, of South Bend, passed away peacefully at Morning View Assisted Living, surrounded by her loving family, following a period of declining health.

Paula was born on April 24, 1943, in South Bend, Indiana, Paula was the daughter of the late Paul and Geneva (Tabler) Funkhouser. She was also preceded in death by her infant daughter, Penny Kline; her sister's, Kathleen Bontrager, Cheryl Funkhouser; and her brother-in-law, Ronald Kline.

Paula graduated from Penn High School in 1961. That same year, on June 24, she married the love of her life, Roger Kline, at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Woodland, Indiana. Together, they built a life rooted in faith, family, and devotion.

Paula worked for many years at Memorial Hospital as a secretary in the insurance offices. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a woman of deep Christian faith, committed to the Wesleyan tradition. Paula found great joy in caring for her home and traveling with her family on vacations.

Paula is survived by her husband of nearly 64 years, Roger Kline; their children, Jeff Kline (Vickie) of South Bend, Jonathan Kline (Kelly) of Mishawaka, and Kimberly Konopinski (John) of South Bend. Paula was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and a great-grandmother to eleven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Deborah Ganshorn of Elkhart; brother-in-law, Raymond Kline of Orlando, Florida; as well as two nieces and two nephews.

In accordance with Paula's wishes, no formal services are planned.

Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana, is entrusted with arrangements.
