Pauline Margaret Shelly, age 91, of Bristol, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Miller''s Merry Manor in Wakarusa. Pauline was born January 25, 1918 in Mishawaka, Indiana to the late Clarence and Mathilda (Harshman) White. On December 19, 1936, Pauline was married to William Grover Shelly in Osceola, Indiana. William preceded her in death, passing away on November 15, 1992.
Mrs. Shelly is survived by her daughters, Orlue J. Barnes of Elkhart, Indiana, Linda (John) Yeater of Cassopolis, Michigan, and Trudy Filbert of Elkhart, Indiana. Also surviving is her sister, June Kelley of Elkhart, 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sisters Helen Alford and Betty Schultz, as well as her sons-in-law Bill Barnes and Michael Filbert.
Visitation will be held from 4-6 pm Friday, July 17, 2009 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be conducted at 6:00 pm Friday, July 17, 2009. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
Pauline was employed by Taylor Products of Elkhart for many years. She was a member of the Zion Missionary Church in Elkhart. In her spare time, Pauline enjoyed researching genealogy and spending time with her family.
