Obituary

Peggy Kay Clevenger, 70, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away peacefully at her home on April 14, 2026, following a period of declining health, surrounded by her loving family.

Peggy was born on December 3, 1955, in Elkhart, Indiana, to the late Bobby Gene Streetman and was raised by her beloved mother, the late Berlina (Charlie) Stamper. She was also preceded in death by her son, Jason Wade Clevenger.

At a young age, Peggy married Johnny F. Clevenger, and together they raised two sons. She dedicated many years of service to Kent Company before continuing her career with the City of Elkhart. Peggy found joy in life’s simple pleasures—camping, listening to country music, dancing, and tending to her yard. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends, always offering her care, kindness, and unwavering support.

Peggy will be remembered as a beautiful, loving, and compassionate woman whose presence brought comfort and warmth to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate to know her.

She is survived by her son, John Michael Clevenger; her grandchildren, Calandra Clevenger and Alexis Clevenger; her great-grandchild, Nova June Clevenger; her brothers, Randy (Debbie) Streetman and Ricky (Lisa) Streetman; and her half-sister, Sue Erbaugh.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola, Indiana. Peggy will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.

No services are scheduled at this time.
