Pelagia "Pauline" Gieracz, 98, of South Bend, died on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 1, 1920 Stupezako New Kolomyjo, Poland to Wiodystos and Pelagia (Maczernik) Atomaniuk. In 1945, Pauline married Jerry Gieracz and he preceded her in death in December of 1994. She enjoyed knitting/crocheting, puzzles, attending to her flowers, and cooking for family and friends. Pauline attended Christ the King Catholic Church. Pauline is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann (Lou) Jackson of Niles, MI; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Michael, and William; five great grandchildren, Hunter, Connor, Kennedy, Summer, and Isla. In addition to her husband, Pauline was preceded in death by her sons, Edward and George Gieracz. There will be private family services.
