Peter S. Miller, 81, of Elkhart died Monday December 1, 2014 at Elkhart General Hospital, surrounded by his family. The Arthur IL native was born February 7, 1933 to Stephen S. & Anna (Yutzy) Miller, who have preceded him in death. Peter retired in 1998 and was a member of Creekside Church of the Brethren and he was a member and Past Grand Counselor (State Pres.) of United Commercial Travelers. Known for being outgoing and people oriented, Peter was also a member of the Masquers Theatrical Group, performing at various religious venues. He also enjoyed horses, having been a trainer in his younger years. In addition to his parents, Peter was also preceded in death by his brothers, Dan, Marx, Robert, Enos and Andrew, and sisters, Linda Rusie, Mary Yoder, Clara Yoder, Amelia Lamb, Sylvia Miller and Savannah Miller. He is survived by his twin sons, Craig (Sherry Lauren) Miller of Granger and Curtis Miller of Elkhart; his daughter, Brenda (Dave) Mortimer of Edwardsburg; step-grandchildren, Jeff Mortimer of South Bend and David (Kelly) Mortimer of Edwardsburg; 4 step-great-grandchildren, 1 step-great-great-grandchild, and several nieces & nephews. Memorial Services will be held at 3:00 Saturday, December 13, 2014 in Creekside Church of the Brethren, 60455 County Road 113, Elkhart, IN 46517, where friends may call prior to services from 1-3pm. Private interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Funeral arrangements through Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The family''s preferred memorial is Creekside Church of the Brethren.
