Philip N. Bragg, age 64, of Elkhart, Indiana passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Elkhart General Hospital. Philip was born February 12, 1948 in Ohio to Andrew and Ernestine (Phillips) Bragg. They preceded him in death. On December 30, 1977, Philip married Kathy Lenon in Elkhart, Indiana. They celebrated 34 years of marriage.
Kathy survives, along with their children, Phillip S. Bragg of Elkhart, Laurence P. (Sherrilyn) Bragg of Mishawaka, Daniel P. Schott of Mishawaka, Tina A. Schott, and Katrina Bragg, both of Elkhart. Also surviving is his brother, Andrew W. "Bud" (Wanda) Bragg of Georgia, 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. Philip was preceded in death by his sister, Tina Fortier.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Friday, July 6, 2012 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 7, 2012 at Chapel Hill with interment to follow in the Garden of Liberty on the grounds of Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Philip was employed for 41 years at the Vincent Bach Corporation, where he was an assembler, retiring in 2010. He also worked part-time at Sears in Elkhart. He enjoyed the outdoors; playing golf, fishing, bowling, swimming and tanning, and working in his yard were several of his hobbies. Philip also loved to spend time with his family, and his favorite time of the year was the 4th of July.
Mr. Bragg was a longtime member of the Salvation Army. In his memory, donations may be made to the Salvation Army, or the American Cancer Society.
