Philip M Kander

A loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend.

Philip M Kander, 76, passed away peacefully on August 5, 2024. He was born on March 24, 1948, in Windsor, Ontario, Canada, to Harry and Sally Kander. He grew up with his siblings Barry, Fay and Lenny. He married his sweetheart, Judy, in 1970, and they had two daughters, Mary and Kim. He enjoyed music, whiskey, sunshine, mustangs, gambling, ice hockey, ice cream and numbers, but most of all, he loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, and he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy (DeVault), in 2015, his brother, Barry, in 2013, and his parents, Harry and Sally. He is survived by his sister, Fay Kennedy, his brother, Len Kander, his daughters, Mary Nehring (Scott) and Kim Clopton (Casey), his grandchildren, Matt, Grace, Keaonna, Jackson and Jolie, and his great-grandson, Sur.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 14, 2024, at 12pm at Chapel Hill in Osceola.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation in his memory.
