Phyllis J. Mize, 90, of Mishawaka, died Saturday, March 25, 2017 at home. The Bremen native was born February 20, 1927 to Oscar and Edith (Baker) Boyer, who have both preceded her in death. On November 7, 1947, Phyllis married Raymond Mize, who preceded her in death on August 3, 1972. Phyllis enjoyed reading and making embroidered treasures. Phyllis is survived by her children, Richard (Mary) Mize of Winchester, IN, Ronald Mize of Estero, FL, and Diana Mize of Mishawaka; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond; daughter, Rhonda Wickizer; and brothers, Earl and Lyle Boyer. A funeral in Phyllis''s honor will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 11 AM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561 with calling one hour prior to the service. Rev. Ervin Mize will preside over the service with burial following in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. The family''s preferred memorial is to Pet Refuge, 4626 S Burnett Dr, South Bend, IN 46614 or The St. Joseph County Humane Society, 2506 Grape Rd, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
