Phyllis May Hennings, 80, of Edwardsburg, passed away at 3:55 pm, Thursday, February 28, 2013 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka after an extended illness. Phyllis was born on February 8, 1933, the daughter of the late Willard J. and Ada G. (Hoover) Detwiler. On April 17, 1992, she married Norman Hennings. He passed away on December 17, 2012. She was a member of the Eastern Star of Yuma, AZ

Phyllis is survived by five children, Steve (Peggy) Harman of Edwardsburg, MI, Tim (Pam) Harman of Union, MI, Tom (Gina) Harman of Union, MI, Penny (Ray) McDonald of Three Rivers, MI and Mark (Mary) Harman of Bristol, IN. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a sister, Bernice Whitney of Sedona, AZ. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Rebekah Harman, brother, Lowell Detwiler and sister, Eileen Detwiler.

Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm, Wednesday, March 6, 2013, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home. Rev. Steve Ganger, pastor of New Song Community Church, Union, MI will be officiating.
