Phyllis A. King, 73, of Mishawaka, passed away at 7:50 am, Friday, August 30, 2013 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Phyllis was born on January 8, 1940, the daughter of the late Edgar and Evelyn (Boose) Montgomery. On June 20, 1959, she married Kenneth L. King. He passed away on March 12, 2004. Phyllis is survived by three children, Brent (Shelly) King of North Liberty, Anita King of South Bend, and Kevin (Kathy) King of Mishawaka. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Lauren Davis, Kristopher King, Heavin King, Robyn Silvey, and Kaitlyn King as well as a brother, Carl (Elaine) Montgomery of South Bend. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers. Phyllis was a beloved mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with family. Her hobbies included bowling, traveling and attending classic car shows and cruise ins. Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the funeral home with burial to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial to the American Cancer Society, 130 Red Coach Dr., Mishawaka, IN 46545.
