Preston C. Tucker, 91, of Osceola, passed away at 1:30 am, Saturday, September 05, 2009 in Hospice House of Elkhart. Preston was born on May 5, 1918 in Mammoth, West Virginia to the late James C. and Ella A. (Lowery) Tucker. He was married to Gracie M. Tucker for 27 years. He remarried Roberta Ales on March 19, 1966.
He is survived by his wife Roberta of Osceola; seven children, Russell Ray Tucker of Hico, WV, Lunda Lee (Sandy) Tucker of Elkhart, Robert Don (Marlene) Tucker of Cleveland, OH, Carol Jane (Jim) Hickok of Cleveland, OH, Cecil Edward (Gloria) Tucker of Elkhart, Richard Wayne (Sheila) Tucker of Goshen, and Gena (Chet) Crowley of South Carolina; a foster child, Steven James (Denise) Obert of Middlebury, IN 33 grandchildren, 79 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Christopher (Florence) Tucker of Swiss, WV and Robert Tucker of West Virginia and one sister, Katheryn Washington of Oak Hill, WV.
He is preceded in death by children, James Charles, Wanda Joyce, Linda Kay, David John, Gary Allen, Junior, William Herbert, Brenda Anne St. Clair and Darrell Gene.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm, Monday, September 7, 2009 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, September 8, 2009 in the funeral home with Rev. Gene Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
