Ralph Junior Platz, 90, of Mishawaka, died on October 29, 2018.  He was born on May 2, 1928 in Lakeville to Fred and Alice (Ranstead) Platz.  On December 6, 1961, Ralph married Phyllis Clark and she preceded him in death on October 25, 2018.  Ralph worked for Wheelabrator for many years.  Ralph is survived his daughter, Patty (Ron) Carey; son, Ralph Allen (Cheryl) Platz, both of Kentucky; 10 grandchildren, Jamie Louise Goff, Ralph Allen Platz, Jr., Jana Marie Huber, Kassandra Maria Archer, Amanda Dickey, Juliann Nicole Miller, James Mathew Dye, Joshua Neil Carey, and Michael Biggs; 20 great-grandchildren, Austin Platz, Kyle Long, Cheyenne Platz, Jaiden Mangold, Cory Long, Nelah Dickie, Cooper Dickie, Bradly Archer, Isabella Huber, Madeline Goff, Emilia Huber, Jaxom Miller, Ayden Platz, Millian Miller, Jameson Carey, Eliza Jane Huber, Ccecila Carey, Conner Biggs, Valarie Platz, Mckenzie Biggs.  He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Phyllis; a daughter, Helen Marie Dye; and his siblings, Evert Platz, Helen Smith, James Platz, and Chester Platz.  Family and friends will be received on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 9:30-11:30 AM in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN  46561 with a funeral service in Ralph's honor beginning at 11:30 AM.  Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
