Ralph L. Wheeler , 87, of Villa Rica GA and formerly of Elkhart, died Saturday June 2, 2018 in Villa Rica. He was born in Elkhart on July 8, 1930, to (the late) Russell & Virginia (Juday) Wheeler. Ralph served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Mindoro and over the years he owned & operated several businesses. He is survived by his wife, Alvera Sysinger Wheeler; children, Valeria Curwin-Krilis of Chicago, Vickie Akin of Jefferson City MO and Randy Curwin of Senoia GA; sister, Marianna Steele and brother, Larry Wheeler, both in Michigan; 7 grandchildren & 6 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Ralph was also preceded in death by his brother, Jim Wheeler. Memorial services 10:00 Saturday, July 21, 2018 in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 10865 Jefferson Rd. Chapel Hill Funeral Home is assisting with local arrangements.
