Obituary

Randy D. Harmon 75, of Mishawaka, Indiana passed away on Monday April 5, 2021 after a valiant battle with dementia. Randy was born on November 2, 1945 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Eleanor (Eddy) and Willis Harmon. After graduating from Mishawaka High School, Randy became a machine operator working at both Wheelabrator and Sibley's. Randy was also a proud IHSSA softball umpire and avid fisherman. Above all else, Randy's greatest life accomplishments were his daughters. Randy was a lifelong Mishawaka resident where he made lasting friendships. He loved to play cards, have family fish fries, watch and coach softball, talk about his GTO, and reminisce about his childhood. Randy will always be known for his famous homemade chili, spaghetti, and meatloaf. Randy was preceded in death by his mother Eleanor Hazard, his stepdad Earl Hazard, and his father Willis Harmon. Randy is survived by his sister Sharon Verlodt, brother Duane (Rosemary) Harmon, 4 children, 9 grandchildren, and a great grandson. Services for Randy will be private at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens 10776 McKinley Hwy Osceola, IN 46561.  Memorial contributions may be made in Randy's memory to the AseraCare Hospice 5405 N Main St, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
