Raymond Brown, 88, of Elkhart, died Sunday, July 20, 2014. The Anderson native was born July 1, 1926 to Artie & Nellie (Scott) Brown. He was the owner of Brown''s Trash Service and retired after 25 years in operation. Raymond attended Word of Life Fellowship; he enjoyed riding his bicycle and being outdoors, sitting in the yard and visiting with family & friends. He liked baseball and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren. Raymond was preceded in death by his first wife, Christine (nee Franks) in 1991. He is survived by his second wife, Christine (nee Robinson-Harper) along with his children, Raymond E. Brown of Elkhart, Peggy Ann (Raymond) McAllister of Horton AL and Pam (Dean) Lambert of Cassopolis MI; step-children, Walter C. (Della) Harper of Steadman NC, Peggy Jean (Floyd) Cassity and David K. (Ramona) Harper, both of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 17 step-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services 10:00 Friday July 25, 2014 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. Friends may call Thursday 5-8pm in the funeral home. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
