Raymond Eugene Bush Sr., age 74 of Osceola, passed away Monday, February 20, 2012. Raymond was born November 5, 1937 in South Bend, Indiana to the late Herman and Iola (Wilder) Bush. On December 15, 1956, Raymond married Mona Shalley in Mishawaka, Indiana.
Surviving is his wife, Mona Bush of Osceola, and his children, Raymond (Melissa) Bush Jr. of Mishawaka, Tami Carter of South Bend, and Steven (Lori) Bush of Osceola. Also surviving is his sister, Bonnie (Barry) Nothstine of Michigan City, IN, as well as 5 grandchildren; Christopher Bush, Heather Bush, Amy Carter, Dustin Bush and Steven Bush Jr., along with 4 great-grandchildren, Nathan, Zane, Brianna, and Hailey. He was preceded in death by a brother and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be held from 3-6:30 pm Friday, February 24, 2012 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Osceola with funeral services to follow at 6:30 pm. Interment will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
Raymond was a graduate of John Adams High School, class of 1956. He was employed for several years at Showrack in Elkhart in the shipping and receiving department. In his younger years, he was a Boy Scout Leader, and bowled in leagues around the area. He also enjoyed building model ships, and watching NASCAR racing.
