Raymond Jay Sprow, 78, of Elkhart, passed away after a prolonged illness. He was born on July 2, 1946, in Hillsdale, Michigan, to the late Ray Alton and Hannah E. (Golding) Sprow. He was also preceded in death by his son, Raymond C. Sprow, and an infant granddaughter, Teanna Sprow.

Raymond was a proud graduate of Elkhart High School. He served honorably in the United States Marine Corps and the National Guard, supporting the United States Air Force.

Raymond cherished his time with family, especially his grandsons. He had a passion for carpentry, creating beautiful handmade tables, benches, and bookshelves. In his younger years, he was also known for his love of rappelling.

He is survived by his daughters, Rhonda Sprow of Elkhart, Robin Sprow (Robert Bell) of Elkhart, Rayma (Robert Sr.) Lundgard of Goshen; sons, Kevin Sprow of Arkansas and David Sprow of Arkansas; a brother, Norman (Betty) Sprow Sr. of Elkhart; a sister, Verna Walker Houston of Mishawaka; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and three nieces and nephews.

Raymond's memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
