Bristol – Read T. Morrison, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at his home with his loving wife and family beside him.

Read was born in Toronto, Canada, on April 22, 1951, to the late John and Evelyn (Read) Morrison.

Read met Bonnie, the love of his life and they married on January 3rd, 1975 in Milwaukee, WI.  Their heart was in Christian ministry, and they worked at several in the following years, Youth for Christ, WVCY radio in Milwaukee, and then moving to Grace College in Indiana to serve as the Controller.  They were blessed with three sons while in Indiana.

In later years he worked at Four Seasons Housing, Pace American Trailers, and Nexus RV in senior management positions.  At retirement, he joined the team at Elkhart Lowe's selling tools and hardware.  His desire in his retirement years was to be become a wood craver. It was his misfortune to develop congestive heart failure which quickly took his life.

Read is survived by his wife, Bonnie (Diehl) Morrison, and his two sons, James Read (Samantha) Morrison of Osceola, and Jordan Ryan Morrison of Bristol, Two grandchildren; Mackenzie and Christopher Morrison; Two brothers, Doug (JoAnn) Morrison of Cascade, VA, and Robert Morrison of Lynchburg, VA.; three sisters Mary (Glenn) Irby of Concord, VA,  Jackie (Jeff) Davis of Forest, VA, Becky (Mark) Beach of Clemmons, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first son, John Robert Morrison on July 10, 2023.

The graveside service will be on Tuesday, September 10th, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN with the Reverend Mike Cramer officiating.
