Obituary

Rex J. Harmon, 94, of Phoenix, formerly of Osceola, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010 in the VA Hospital, Carl T. Hayden Medical Center, Phoenix, Rex was born on October 13, 1916 in Gilead, In to the late Ray and Mabel (Madlem) Harmon. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Doris (Leighty) Harmon, who passed away on January 8, 1978, and his second wife, Anna (Mogolske) Harmon, who passed away on June 1, 2010

Rex proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in Company C, 26th Infantry. He was honorably discharged in 19 45. He was a member of the American Legion Post 308 and the V.F.W. Post 360.

He is survived by four sons, Ronald Harmon of Bristol, WI, Kent Harmon of LaVeen, AZ, Gregory (Penny) Harmon, Whitman, AZ, and Gary Harmon of Niles, MI, seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 23, 2010 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola with two hours of visitation prior to the service. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
