Richard B. Ashcroft, 77, of Elkhart died Wednesday December 14, 2016. The Carthage NY native was born October 9, 1939 to James C. & Rita M. (Bodfield) Ashcroft. Dick retired from Taylor Products in Elkhart and was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. He was a former 4H leader of the Elkhart Co. Llama Club and was an avid IU fan. Dick is survived by his wife, Florence Ashcroft; his sons, Mike (Debi) Ashcroft of Goshen and Rick Ashcroft of Elkhart; step-son, Tommy (Brenda) All of Syracuse NY; his mother, Rita Ashcroft of Carthage NY; his sister, Katherine (Joe) West of Natural Ridge NY; brothers, James (Carol) Ashcroft & Jerry Ashcroft, both of Carthage and Mike (Peg) Ashcroft in Florida. He was preceded in death by his father, James Ashcroft; granddaughter Leslie Ashcroft and sister, Gina Marie Ashcroft.
