ELKART, IN – Richard L. Breden Sr., age 71, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at his home.

He was born on December 25, 1947 to the late Olin and Katherine (Bixler) Breden. Richard was born and raised in Elkhart. Richard was inducted into the United States Marine Corp on July 7, 1965 in South Bend, Indiana. He served during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on June 12, 1971. Richard was a member of the American Legion Post #308. He enjoyed the outdoors, working on cars and most of all is family.

Richard is survived by his children, FaithAnn Breden of Elkhart, IN, Mellisa Breden of Florida, and Richard L. Breden Jr. of Elkhart, IN; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; several brothers and sisters; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife; parents; brother; and several sisters.
