Richard M. Dorney, age 68, of Mishawaka passed away on October 29, 2017 at home. He was born November 29, 1948 to Darryl and Colleen (Eckersly) Dorney in Salt Lake City, Utah. On May 26, 1978, Richard married Jill Adamek. She survives. Richard worked for many years as a mechanical engineer with DLZ Associates after attending college and receiving his Bachelor''s degree. He enjoyed all sports but loved golf and bowling. Richard is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jill; his children, Nichol (Adam) Mondy of Granger, Kyle (Amanda) Dorney, Shannon Dorney, and Michelle Garcia all of Mishawaka; ten grandchildren; three brothers, Ken Dorney, Scott Dorney, and Randy Dorney. He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Richard M. Dorney II; and his brother, Kim Dorney. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, November 2, 2017 from 4-6 PM at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, IN 46561.
