Obituary

ELKHART – Richard (Dick) Eiswald, 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 4, 2018. He was born January 10, 1929 in South Bend, Indiana, the son of the late Otto and Florence Eiswald. Dick leaves behind his loving wife of 68 years, Velda; his daughter Lori (Carl) Reichanadter; his son Don (Debbie) Eiswald; his four sisters Janet (Duane) Kollar; Sharon Schraw; Linda (Keith) Burton; Judy (Lyle) Hofferth; eight grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. Dick was a man of many talents and a "can do" attitude. He worked at Studebaker for five years, was a printer for Lithotone for 27 years, owned and operated a fishing resort in Minnesota, and built and raced his own racing boat. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and hunting. He was also very active in his church over the years, as a deacon, elder, usher and Sunday School teacher, as well as singing in the choir. He loved his Lord and his family with all of his heart. Arrangements are entrusted to Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Saturday, March 10 th from 9 am to 11 am at Osceola Grace Church located at 58343 Apple Rd., Osceola with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Osceola Grace Church, 58343 Apple Rd., Osceola, Indiana 46561.
