Richard C. Odom, 62 of Osceola, died Wednesday October 16, 2013. The Dayton OH native was born April 27, 1952 to Donald M. & June (Summers) Odom. Rick retired in 2011 from IBM as a consultant after 25 years of employment. He was dedicated to his work, devoted to his family & grandchildren and enjoyed his dog & cat, Charlie & Jackie. Rick also enjoyed flying radio controlled airplanes, playing tennis & golf, and he was an avid fan of NASCAR & Notre Dame Football. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his wife, Diane L. Odom; daughter, Jamie (Tubalcain) Pirela of Port St. Lucie, FL; son, Travis Odom of Mishawaka; step-daughters, Leslie (Andrew Hager) Morris of Mishawaka and Dawn Morris of South Bend; grandchildren, Sidney & Salomae Pirela, Kaylee Pawlak, Brianna Watts, Isaiah Evans and Wyatt Fazi; his mother, June Odom of Dayton OH; sister, Donna (Richard) Smith of Kettering, OH; brother, Robert (Roberta) Odomof Loomis, CA and his twin brother, Ron (Charlene) Odom of New Hudson, MI. Visitation held from 4-8pm Monday October 21, 2013 in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy. The family''s preferred memorial is the Humane Society of St. Joseph County, 2506 Grape Rd, Mishawaka IN 46545.
