Richard Glen Rust, 57, of Elkhart, passed away at 10:00 pm, Friday, August 2, 2013 in Elkhart Hospice House. Richard was born on May 7, 1956 in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, the son of the late Cleveland M. and Velma W. (Freeman) Rust. He is also preceded in death by two brothers, Jay and Don.

Richard''s childhood was spent in Tullahoma, TN before his family moved to this area. Richard worked as a custodian for Middlebury Community Schools for many years. He was known for being a Living History Reenactor. His reenacting included the 78th and 77th Highlanders for the French and Indian Wars (1756-1763 era) and Medieval Times (1066-1600 era). He was also an accomplished painter with his painting hanging all around the Elkhart and Bristol area.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the 2:00 pm service in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola. Burial will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
